Suction stick is eliminated without the use of suction sapping air holes that reduce the power of the vacuum source, allowing smaller vacuums to be used, unlike many other shrouds. Air is forced under the rubber seal which is positioned a little above the floor to pick up dust at floor level where it is generated and direct it efficiently to the vacuum port. Tight-fitting inserts for most grinders are supplied with each shroud that also form a vacuum seal around the mounting point and provides a strong fit to prevent movement or loosening.
